Campaign Story
* Typical cost of capstone projects (including registrations, travel and supplies) is about $1200.
* I am trying to raise $600 as family and school will cover the rest.
Goals for My Fundraiser:
Supporting my capstone project
*** I plan to pursue the project though participation in TSA activities like competitions and community service. ***
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) that helps students explore STEM through hands-on projects, competitions, and leadership opportunities.
What is ‘Youth Voices Art Campaign’
A community-based art exhibit and public speaking event series designed to empower youth voices and advocate for equal access to education and housing.

Why I am pursuing this project (My why)
- I am a ‘Stylish Thinker’ personality type person with strong ‘advocate’ business potential.
- I’m crazy about helping kids grow through art and being a top-notch youth counselor. So, I’m taking on a project as a boss of a non-profit that makes educational resources easier to get. My ultimate goal? Making sure everyone around the world has equal chances for education and a home..
My plan of action: Competitions and Activities
Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) to join:
TSA – The Technology Student Association offers competitions and activities that develop technical, project management, and communication skills, serving as a strong foundation for technical and advocacy projects.
FBLA – Future Business Leaders of America focuses on business leadership and competitive project development, enhancing skills in articulation, strategic communication, and risk management.
Competitions
TSA – Digital Video ProductionThis introductory competition is ideal for developing visual storytelling skills that are central to the Youth Voices Art Campaign, allowing the student to creatively express ideas through digital media.
HOSA – Public Service Announcement
This introductory competition leverages public communication and community awareness, aligning with the campaign’s aim of promoting youth voices through impactful messaging.
TSA – Audio PodcastingThis introductory TSA competition allows for exploration of audio storytelling, which complements the visual aspects of the campaign. It helps build skills in narrative development and digital content creation.
FBLA – Partnership with Business ProjectThis advanced competition connects business acumen with creative project management. It is well-suited for conveying the entrepreneurial aspects of the Youth Voices Art Campaign and fosters collaboration with local businesses.
Community Service:
Youth Art Mural Project
Why it fits: The mural project translates skills from the competitions into a tangible community impact, providing a creative outlet and a platform for youth voices in the local area.
Implementation: Partner with local community centers and art organizations in zip code 30143 to plan and execute a mural workshop during Spring Semester. Organize art workshops, planning meetings, and public exhibitions.
Skills Development: Project management, community engagement, artistic techniques, teamwork
